Our software team plans, designs, implements, and tests the software & firmware that makes our products number one in the industry. The goal is to give the customer as much or as little information as they want while maintaining the ease of use that you have come to expect from our products. To better serve our customers and assist in the rapid development of new products D&V has made a huge investment in the development of the following suite of software applications that are completely universal and can be rapidly configured for testing any product. This new Platform is called the D&V X-1 Suite. The applications include Design View, Spec View, Visual Script Editor, Visual Script Library Editor, Stat View & Stat View Supervisor Edition, XL-Plot and Label Max. Below is a description of each of these applications. These applications were developed with a focus on reusability, compatibility, expandability, flexibility, and documentation |

The DesignView application is used to create and edit the database and visual schema utilized by the SpecView program. This versatile tool allows internal D&V developers to quickly configure new or edit an existing database to an optimized level of functionality. |

The SpecView application is used to create and edit test specifications, test conditions and installation instructions used in your testers measuring application. SpecView is a universal application that can be used with any new tester by customizing the database storage structure to suit the customer's requirements. |

TestView is a highly specialized application the allow the developer or the tester's administrator to generate or edit script files. The script files are used to create test procedures for any new test application. The user simply drags and drops commands onto the design panel, it is like creating a flow chart that executes the desired functions by changing the test sequence or adding custom logic. |

The TestView Library Designer is used to create the commands utilized by the TestView program. This allows internal D&V developers to quickly create a library of commands for new test applications or expand and distribute new custom test commands for your machine. |

The StatView & StatView Supervisor Edition are powerful tools used to collect and present statistical information such as total quantity tested, total good, total bad, cycle time, good and bad totals per hour, per shift or per day. All the statistics required to quickly determine if a process or assembly line is in control. Display of most common defects per part number, batch number etc. |

Printing unit labels is accomplished automatically via the LabelMax program. It serves as link from the X-1 Measuring application directly to your label printer. With the X-1 applications there can be a separate label for pass/fail. With a fail label non conforming material can be identified and routed for appropriate corrective action. The label can also be printed with test specs or test results. |

The XL-Plot application serves to configure and route the data from the measuring application to an MS Excel workbook. MS Excel is the global standard for reporting, it can handle any custom formatting and presentation requirements. This workbook contains pass and fail reports and can also have custom reports. The printed report for your product can be selected globally so all units get the same report or a part can have its own unique report from it's settings in the database. |
